BNC interface terminal connector, also known as Q9 head in the industry, is the most commonly used coaxial cable connector in security monitoring engineering and audio and video engineering. There are few detailed connection methods available online. Below, let's talk about how to make BNC connectors and exchange the correct method for making BNC interface terminals:

First of all, the tools to be prepared are: Wire stripper, BNC connector (male), coaxial cable (75-5 and other video cables), Needle-nose pliers, electric soldering iron, multimeter, soldering tin, rosin, BNC connector female, blade. Now we can start working on it.

Step 1: Insert the electric soldering iron and preheat it; Place the prepared electric soldering iron, cable, BNC head, Needle-nose pliers aside for standby.

Step 2: Use a Wire stripper to strip the video coaxial cable for about 1cm, and then use a blade to cut off the plastic covering the copper core of the video cable, exposing about 0.5cm of copper core. If the shielding layer of the cable is good and there is a large network, it can be cut off appropriately to facilitate the insertion of BNC negative electrode. Then screw the BNC negative electrode and the shielding layer of the cable together, and solder a small amount of tin onto the copper core and shielding layer with a soldering gun.

Step 3: Thread the tail of the BNC shell onto the cable, insert the copper core of the cable into the small hole in the middle of the BNC head, which is the positive electrode of the BNC. The shielding layer is attached to the negative electrode of the BNC head and clamped tightly with pliers, then welding begins.

Step 4: After welding is completed, use a multimeter to test the insulation and conductivity. Test whether the BNC connector female is connected correctly. At this point, a perfect and practical BNC head is ready. By making the same head at both ends, it becomes a video cable that directly connects the camera to the monitor, or the camera to the DVR.
