How to verify if the multimeter probe has been successfully repaired? Several testing methods that can generally be used:

1: Insert the repaired probe into the V Ω hole and COM hole of the multimeter, and turn the multimeter to the diode position. Short circuit the probe to see if the value is 001: Yes indicates that the probe wire repair is complete, but the diode position can only determine whether the probe is on or off, and the specific resistance value cannot be tested. Therefore, this test only determines whether the probe is on or off.

2: Use a pointer resistance gauge or use a digital resistance gauge to short circuit the probe to check the resistance value: This test is to determine the resistance value of the repaired probe wire. Generally, the resistance value of my standard probe wire should not exceed 3 Ω. If the resistance value of the probe wire exceeds 3 Ω, the length of the probe wire should be modified, that is, the resistance value should be reduced by changing the wire.

3: Use a digital meter to shift the resistance to the 200 Ω range. Insert the red probe into the V Ω hole, the black probe into the COM hole, and the red and black probes respectively contact the two ends of the repaired probe. Then, observe the measured resistance value. Under normal circumstances, if the probe is repaired and the length of the probe wire is normal, it is generally set at 200 Ω. The measured resistance value is 0.01 Ω.

Regularly conduct insulation and voltage withstand tests on the meter pens. This is something that multimeter manufacturers should pay attention to when designing the meter pens, such as the thickness of the insulation skin used for the meter pens.

Currently, the general specifications for digital meter pens are: 1000V 20A or 1000V 10A. There are two specifications for typical digital meter pens.
